Fight coaching · Auckland, New Zealand

Learn to fight from someone who fights for a living.

I'm Rory O'Keeffe, a professional MMA fighter. My 24/7 CMBT program takes everyday people, most of them with a job and no fight background, and builds their striking, their fitness and their confidence from the ground up.

The call is a conversation about where you are and where you want to get to. If it is not the right fit, I will tell you.

Who this is for

Built for people who want to train properly, not tourists.

This is for you if

  • You work a normal job and want a reason to train that is bigger than a gym membership.
  • You have never been taught to strike, or you have picked up bad habits from classes and YouTube.
  • You want to feel confident in your own body and know you could handle yourself.
  • You are willing to be coached, put in the reps and send me footage of your training so I can correct it.

This is not for you if

  • You want a quick fix or a program you can leave running in the background.
  • You are not prepared to train at least a few times a week.
  • You want to be told what you are doing well and nothing else.

How the program works

Three parts. Learn it, drill it, get it checked.

Everyone in 24/7 CMBT works through the same system. How much direct time you get with me depends on where you are starting from, and that is what we work out on the call.

Learn

The system

Six modules and 24 videos covering stance and movement, hands, kicks and knees, combinations, defence and mindset, with a new module added every two weeks. Filmed by me, taught the way I was taught, in the order it needs to be learned.

Action

Weekly calls and footage review

Group calls every week, plus guest calls. You upload your own training footage to a private chat and I break it down on the calls so you know exactly what to fix.

Success

Direct time with me

A one to one onboarding session to set your starting point and plan, and for those who want it, one to one sessions with me to work on the specifics of your game.

Your coach

A bit about me

I'm a professional MMA fighter based in Auckland. I compete in New Zealand and overseas, train out of Unity MMA, and spend the rest of my week coaching. Twenty-two thousand people follow my striking breakdowns on Instagram because I explain the why behind every setup, not just the what.

The program is the system I train and fight with, filmed lesson by lesson in the order it needs to be learned, with me checking your work as you go.

I'm not selling you a fight camp. I'm giving you the discipline, the fitness and the confidence that come from training like a fighter, whether or not you ever compete.

Next step

Three steps to a confirmed call.

1

Fill out the form

Two minutes. Your details, your training history and what you want out of this.

2

We get in touch

Someone from my team calls or messages you to lock in a time that works.

3

Jump on the call

You talk through where you are at, what the program looks like for you, and whether it is the right fit.

Important

Filling out the form is not the last step. Answer the call or the message when it comes, otherwise your spot goes to the next person.

Spots are limited because footage review and one to one time do not scale. My team will be straight with you if it is not the right fit.

Apply now

Start your application.

Answer a few quick questions so my team can see if the program is a fit for you.

Questions

Before you apply

Do I need any experience?

No. The program starts with stance, movement and guard and builds from there. It assumes you have never thrown a punch. If you have trained before, I will still tighten up your fundamentals.

Do I have to be in Auckland?

No. The lessons, group calls, footage review and one to one sessions all run online, so you can train from wherever you are. If you are in Auckland, ask about training with me in person on the call.

What equipment do I need?

To start, a bit of space, a phone to film yourself and gloves. A bag or pads help once you get into the kicking and combination modules, and most people either use a local gym or set something up at home.

Will I have to fight?

Only if you want to. Most people join for the fitness, the discipline and the confidence. If competing is your goal, that is part of the conversation on the call.

What does it cost?

Coaching runs at different levels depending on how much direct time with me you want, so it depends on you. Everything gets laid out clearly on the call before you decide anything.
